For the majority of balustrade situations a stainless steel tube with a 1.5 or 1.6mm wall thickness is more than sufficient enough.

Occasionally though there is a demand for a heavier wall thickness, particular when being used for pool fencing, commercial work and end posts on a wire cable balustrade.

It may not be the largest product that we make and it sure is not the biggest seller, but when used correctly, our treated timber rosettes can still make a big visual impact on a house.

Manufactured from 19mm thick treated Pine, the rosette is available in 3 diameters; 80mm, 110mm and the largest one measuring 175mm.

For the vast majority of the time, when we manufacture timber handrails, we produce them in a hardwood such as Victorian Ash.

For some of our customers though, they prefer Pine, as it is considerably cheaper than the hardwood alternative; sometimes by as much as 50%.

Radiata Pine is an easy timber to work with because it is so soft, but if you want a timber product to look really good, then a great place to start is a timber like Victorian Ash.

Many lounge manufacturers like to use a hardwood, like Victorian Ash, rather than Pine, as it a much harder wearing timber, which means the lounge that it is being put on will look better for longer.

A couple of years back we introduced a small selection of stainless steel wire balustrade fittings and cable to our range of products; and since then we have slowly been increasing the variety of different products that we carry.

Up until recently all of these fittings have been for 3.2mm wire cable; but we have now added 4mm wire cable as well as a couple of hydraulically swaged fittings.

We are pleased to announce that we have recently added slotted tubes to our range of stainless steel balustrade products.

We have slotted tube in both round and rectangle profiles, with a range of fittings to match.

We don't very often see the end results of one of our products being put to use. This is particularly the case with our stair products that we make.

With this in mind, we were excited to see photos of a B & B that had recently been upgraded using our Prestige Stair Posts as well as our turned balusters.
