We recently had an inquiry from a local school in Adelaide whether we could make for them a rolling pin for pottery classes that they run. They were looking for 40 in total, and a had a sample of what the design needed to be.

We priced it up for them and won the job. We then set about doing a template to match the profile of the rolling pin.

With the template complete it went onto our automatic copy lathe to run the job; and as you can see in the photos, the end result came out as expected.

Although this is not a stock product, hopefully it will give you some idea as to the process we need to go through to produce a wood turning.
