Turned timber balusters have been used on stairs for many years, but traditionally the designs have had both a square (un-turned) section on the top and bottom with a turned section in the middle. A few years back we started producing a baluster that was a bit different.

Rather than having a un-turned square section at the top of the baluster, this design instead carries the turned profile all the way through, leaving just a square section on the bottom.

Like all new designs, it took a while to take off, but now it is one of our more popular designs that we have.
