An increasingly popular trend in hones design is fixtures and fittings being painted black rather than the traditional brushed or polished stainless steel.

If you go into display homes you may have noticed how taps in bathrooms and kitchens have been slowly moving away from polished chrome to black.

In one particular display home here in Adelaide we came across a job that was done by Signature Stainless that used our 50x10 stainless steel tube and one of our handrail brackets having the same black painted treatment applied to it. The end result is quite a striking contrast to the crisp white painted walls behind it.

Now whether or not this is a long lasting trend or just a moment in time design choice will remain to be seen, but for the moment it serves as an interesting alternative to the traditional stainless steel handrails that you would normally find in homes.

If you want to achieve the same look, then you can find the handrail as well as the bracket on our online shop, but you will need to provide your own paint !
