American Oak has become a very popular timber over the last couple of years, so it came as no surprise when an existing customer of ours asked if we could produce a round stool seat that we had already been making for them in this timber.

Although American Oak is slightly more expensive than Australian Oak; it is actually a nicer timber to work with, as it is easier to machine, more colour consistent and requires less sanding to get the desired end finish.

This particular stool seat is slightly dished out in the middle and is made from 38mm thick feed stock. It finishes approximately 380mm in diameter.

Stool seats are not an item that we sell through our online shop, but if there is some volume involved, then we are able to make customers own designs in variety of different timbers.
