Insert Nut for 5/16 inch Lag Screws

Where would use an Insert Nut ?
When needing to fix a leg (that has a 5/16" lag screw) to the bottom of a lounge or piece of furniture. Drill a 10mm hole in the timber and then use an hex key to screw the nut in position until it is flush with the surface.

Remember to drill the initial hole deep enough so that the hole of the lag screw will fit up into the frame of the lounge or piece of furniture you are fixing it to.
