Description
Where would you normally use this stainless steel handrail fitting?
As part of an angled (stair) stainless steel balustrade. The support is placed at the top of a 50.8 x 50.8 square post (1.5mm wall thickness), and allows for round timber handrail or stainless steel tubing to be attached to it.
What size handrail does the round cradle suit?
The standard cradle is designed to suit either 50.8mm round stainless tube or round timber dowel between 43 and 50mm in diameter.
If you would like a cradle that suits 38.1mm round stainless tube, then please make note of this in the SPECIAL DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS section of the checkout.
What is it made out of?
316 grade Stainless Steel in a Satin finish.
Can it be used for exterior application?
As it is 316 grade Stainless Steel, it is more than suitable for use outside.
How do you fix it to the stainless steel tube?
For the DIY market you can use a suitable glue (found on our online shop). For the professional fabricator, you can weld and polish to create a seamless finish.
Without regular cleaning and maintenance discolouration of the surface of the stainless steel by corrosion (tea staining) can occur.
