Treated Timber and Outdoor Fence Post Capitals

Treated timber fence post capitals and tops that have been LOSP or H3 treated, making them suitable for outdoor use. They are available in a wide variety of designs including ball, windsor, flat and pyramid post capitals.

H3 treatment provides protection against borers and termites, moisture as well as the weather. It should never be cut or sanded, as the treatment is only applied to the exterior of the timber product. Any newly exposed timber would need to be re-treated using either a paint-on treatment or aerosol. We also recommend that all external capitals be finished with at least two coats of paint to help prevent splitting and cracking.
