Description
Where would you normally use this stainless steel wire cable fitting?
This fitting is used in conjunction with the M6 Right Thread Terminal (SSW056-6) for use on metal posts.
The flip lock feature of the connector allows for this fitting to be used on a hollow metal posts in both a horizontal and angled (stair) application.
What is it made out of?
316 Stainless Steel.
How does it get fixed to a metal post?
For Horizontal balustrade; drill a 8.5mm hole into the wall of the post, then insert the fitting. The flip section will then engage and will stop the fitting from pulling out of the post.
For Angled balustrade (such as on a staircase); drill a 10.0mm hole into the wall of the post, then insert the fitting. The flip section will then engage and will stop the fitting from pulling out of the post.
Can it be used for exterior applications?
As it is 316 Stainless Steel it is more than suitable to be used inside or outside.
Without regular cleaning and maintenance discolouration of the surface of the stainless steel by corrosion (tea staining) can occur.
