One size does not necessarily fit all!
When it comes to design. What is old eventually becomes new again. Given that we have been in business for over 70 years we have seen this happen in a number of the products that we have manufactured. One such product range that this applies to is round tapered furniture legs.
Stainless steel standoffs are both a practical and stylish way to support glass balustrade on stairs, balconies and pool fences.
As can be seen in the photos accompanying this blog post, the standoffs were used to great affect to support sheets of glass that were required by law to fence the surrounds of a swimming pool.
For the last number of years we have been producing 43mm dowel handrail in Victorian Ash (aka Tasmanian Oak). This has been a very popular product, but we have regularly had customers request that we make it in other timbers. So being the good company we are, we have listened to our customers and now offer it in 3 new timber species.
The Casuarina shopping centre is the largest complex in the Northern Territory of Australia. Earlier in 2017 they employed the services of Alpha Joinery, to do the fitout of the food hall and surrounding areas. There was a very large amount of timber involved in the job, and although Alpha Joinery were able to do much of it, to quicken up the process they decided to outsource a number of the different products that needed to be made. Which is where we came in to the picture.
If you are looking for something a bit different in the look of a handrail bracket on a staircase, why not try one our new square designs.
Manufactured from 316 grade stainless steel, these high polished brackets are great modern twist on the more traditional round designs.
Treated timber roof finials (aka gable spires) have been part of our range of products that we manufacture for the past 25 years.
The majority of them are manufactured from 68 x 68 Pine; but we do make one design that comes from larger 90 x 90 Pine for houses that require something more substantial.
Recently we did a job where we were requested by a customer to manufacture a 40mm diameter half dowel out of Victorian Ash. They required the dowel to be cut into set lengths of 800mm. We did not know what it was going to be used for at the time, but some months later the customer sent us a photo of the end result.
