For the last few years we have been manufacturing a 43mm round wall rail in both Vic Ash and Jarrah. Whilst most of the sales are in the lower priced Vic Ash, we still do have a number of customers who are willing to pay a bit more for Australian Jarrah.
For the last few years we have been selling a range of stainless steel glass clamps. They come in different sizes and different finishes (ie. Satin or Mirror) and can be fitted to either round or square posts.
One issue that can occur with glass clamps of this style is glass slippage; where the glass slowly over time will slip down due to gravity and the weight of the glass panel.
Late last year a local timber merchant contacted us about manufacturing a timber picture rail moulding for a builder that they had got an enquiry from.
They were a big vague on what it needed to look like, but did have a basic size for me to go off of; so I quoted it up, and luckily won the job.
It is always nice when one of your customers emails back some photos of a job that they have done using Hammersmith products.
Timber window canopies (or hoods) have long been used on Australian homes. Hammersmith manufactures 2 designs that are based on early 1900's styles.
Made from Australian grown Radiata Pine and then treated to protect from rot and decay, both styles have been produced at our Adelaide factory on the latest CNC equipment and then assembled using suitable stainless fixings and exterior grade glues.
Sometimes simple is better; which was the case with a recent turned timber sofa leg that we produced for a furniture manufacturer in Melbourne recently.
Recent changes to the building standard has meant that timber handrail on a staircase must now be continuous when fixed to a wall.
This is good news for us, as we have been making these products for a number of years now.
We manufacture and stock a lot of timber products, but one range of products that we don't stock is timber mouldings such as skirtings and architraves.
The reason for this is simple; there are a heap of other companies that do these types of products, and with the prices being squeezed, there really is little profit margin involved.
