This product is supplied un-assembled as a kit that includes all of the timber components (cut to length and pre-drilled), exterior grade glue and screws. The process of assembling the window canopy side would be an easy one for anyone who is handy with a cordless drill.

Description

Treated timber window canopies for external use, manufactured from H3 treated Radiata Pine. Designed to sit above windows, providing weather protection while adding a classic architectural feature to Federation and bungalow-style homes.

This canopy can be used on its own or combined with one of our verandah brackets for a more decorative finish.

NOTE: This product requires assembly + price is for one canopy side

FAQs

Where would you normally use treated timber window canopies (or window awnings)?
Installed above a window on the exterior of a building, they provide protection from rain while also acting as an attractive architectural feature—particularly well suited to period-style homes.

What is it made out of?
Plantation-grown Radiata Pine that has been H3 treated for external use.

How should you finish it?
A water-based primer/undercoat is not essential, however a minimum of two coats of your final paint colour is strongly recommended.

Leaving the canopy unfinished, oiling it, or using a clear lacquer is not advised. Speak to your local paint retailer for product recommendations.

Note: The price is for one side of a window canopy only.
