Description
A treated timber chamfered baluster, measuring 1m tall and made from plantation grown radiata pine. Often used as part of an exterior treated balustrade, perhaps on a balcony or verandah. (The baluster is the part between the top handrail and bottom rail).
Being treated pine, it is suitable for use outdoors when painted and primed correctly. Please see the FAQ below for more information.
Overall: 1000mm Height x 42mm Width x 42mm Depth
Length of top square: 130mm
Length of chamfer: 560mm
Length of bottom square: 310mm
What is it made out of?
Plantation grown Radiata Pine that has been H3 treated (suitable for above-ground use).
How should you finish it?
A water-based primer/undercoat is not a necessity (although it wouldn’t hurt), but at least 2 coats of the final colour is a must.
Leaving it unfinished, oiling it or using a clear lacquer is not recommended.
