Where would you normally use treated timber verandah posts ?
As a decorative support post, perhaps on a balcony or verandah. What is it made out of ?
Plantation grown Radiata Pine that has been finger jointed and laminted for stability.
It is H3 treated for external application, and is suitable for above ground use. What are the important dimensions ?
Overall : 3000mm Height x 112mm Width x 112mm Depth
Length of top square : 1100mm
Length of turning : 1400mm
Length of bottom square : 500mm How should you finish it ?
A water based primer/undercoat is not a necessity (although it wouldn’t hurt), but at least 2 coats of the final colour is a must.
Leaving it unfinished, oiling it or using a clear lacquer is not recommended.
