A plain 42x42mm Radiate Pine baluster, pre-sanded and ready for painting/staining. It is manufactured from sustainably sourced plantation-grown timber.

These 42mm balusters will sit perfectly in a rebated handrail or base rail. They are commonly used in the construction of staircases, ramps, landings and platforms.

This product is suitable for internal use only, you can find our range of external grade balusters here.

Where would you normally use timber balusters ?
As part of a balustrade on a staircase. (The baluster is the part between the top handrail and bottom rail).

What is it made out of ?
Plantation grown Radiata Pine.

How should you finish it ?
If looking for a natural finish, then a clear lacquer will be fine; or you can use a stain to achieve your desired colour then use a clear lacquer to finish it off.
If wanting to paint, a water based primer/undercoat is not a necessity (although it wouldn’t hurt), but at least 2 coats of the final colour is a must.
