Rebated Timber Capping
Sometimes the simplest looking jobs can prove more challenging than you think. This was the case recently when we were asked by a customer if we could produce a rebated timber capping.

A post mould surround is a great decorative add on to your verandah post.
The post mould surrounds that we manufacture come in 2 forms. The first is one that is already made up to drop over a post that is either 90 x 90mm or 115 x 115mm; which obviously means that it needs to be installed at the same time that the post is being installed.
Up until a 10 years ago we didn't do a lot of dowels, as we didn't have the right equipment to make them on. After investing in the necessary machinery, manufacturing timber dowels is now a large part of our business.
We have just added 6 new wooden corbels and carvings to our range. 3 of them are based are based on the 1 design, but in different widths of 175mm, 85mm and 70mm.
Then there are 2 detailed carvings that would be a great addition to a fire place or kitchen mantle.
Tapered timber plugs are used in mainly to plug the end of pipes, particularly water pipes. Until recently most of the plugs we had been making were for pipes that were 50mm in diameter and less; but following a request from one of our customers, we have gone larger .... much larger.
We are pleased to announce that we have a new addition to our team in the office ..... Hunter. Hunter is a miniature long haired Dachshund who at the time of writing is only 15 weeks old.
This little fellow has settled into the office like a duck to water (apart from a few toilet accidents !).
Whilst at the local shopping centre the other day I came across a shopping trolley storage bay that made use of some of the galvanised pipe fittings that we sell.
The big selling point of these fittings is that they are easily fixed in place with the simple turn of an hex key, which means that no welding is required. This is particularly helpful with these sorts of structures where they can get damaged by cars driving into them, and therefore can be more easily repaired.
