Over the last couple of years we have been selling a range of 32mm and 43mm thick stair treads in both Pine and Victorian Ash. During this period we have been getting a number of requests to add American Oak stair treads to our range, and after looking into it we decided that the time was right for us to do so.
We were recently asked by one of our good customers if we could produce a new timber handrail for them. They wanted us to make it in both Meranti (aka Maple) and Pine.
Wire cable is still a great style of balustrade to use on a domestic staircase. Not only does it achieve a sleek modern look, but it is also easy to install.
As can be seen in the photos above and below; the wire cable used on this Victorian Ash staircase looks great; particularly when combined with 50sq stainless posts and 50x25 rectangular handrail (both of which can also be purchased in our online shop).
Treated fence post capitals have been part of our range of external building products for the past 25 years. The more traditional turned styles have given way to the more fashionable pyramid designs over the last 10 years. Just recently though we were asked by a customer to come up with a variation on the pyramid design. The end result was a much more substantial design.
An increasingly popular trend in hones design is fixtures and fittings being painted black rather than the traditional brushed or polished stainless steel.

Released in May 2016, this new catalogue replaces the 2013/14 version, and is 52 pages in size, with a large number of new products added.
When we added timber stair post caps to our range a decade ago, we never envisaged how popular they would turn out. Even now after 10 years, they continue to be a strong seller for us. Last year we decided to build a dedicated area within our factory to improve the time it takes to make these post caps.
We recently had an inquiry from a local school in Adelaide whether we could make for them a rolling pin for pottery classes that they run. They were looking for 40 in total, and a had a sample of what the design needed to be.
